SNOWMOBILE TRAIL ON-SITE

Spend your day skiing at Sugarloaf, relaxing at the Sugarloaf Spa and Fitness Center or snow shoeing/skating/x-country skiing at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center.  Cross country ski to Maine Huts and Trails Flagstaff or Poplar Stream lodge for lunch. Try wall climbing at the Carrabassett Valley Academy Anti-Gravity Center. Ski or snowmobile from the inn's dooryard onto miles of trails leading to the Black Fly Loop and Maine's Interconnected Trail System.  Store your equipment in the barn.  Return to the inn and relax in a whirlpool tub or before a roaring fire.

The
University of Maine Farmington campus is 20 miles south on Route 27.  Carrabassett Valley Academy is 15 miles north on Routes 16/27.  Either way, you'll enjoy the scenic drive.

Hike the newly developed Maine Huts and Trails system or follow the Appalachian Trail through the Bigelow Preserve.  Paddle a canoe or kayak around Flagstaff Lake. Spend your day fly fishing on the Kennebec River.  Go river rafting with one of the near-by outfitters or swim in one of the many local swimming holes.  Have fun.

Go the extra mile on a road less travelled to reach this lovely place.  You'll be glad you did.
